What is Vestmind Lens?

Vestmind Lens is an AI browser extension from Vestmind. Select anything financial on a web page, or drag a box around a chart, and Lens draws the explanation on top of it: highlights, arrows, the calculation worked with the numbers on the page, and the chain of cause and effect, revealed step by step.

Is there a Chrome extension that explains financial news?

Yes. Vestmind Lens is a Chrome extension built for exactly that. Select a sentence in a financial news story, or drag a box around a chart in it, and Lens explains it on the page in plain words, with any calculation worked from the article's own numbers. It works on any news site, blog or report you can open in Chrome.

How do I install Vestmind Lens?

Open the Vestmind Lens listing in the Chrome Web Store, choose Add to Chrome and confirm. The Lens icon appears in your browser toolbar; pin it for one-click access. On first run Lens offers to show its V button on every site, and you can decline and invoke it yourself instead.

Which browsers does Vestmind Lens work in?

Lens is built for Google Chrome and installs from the Chrome Web Store. Microsoft Edge, Brave and other Chromium-based browsers can install it from the same listing, on a computer. Versions for Firefox, Safari and phones are not available yet.

Can Lens explain charts, tables and YouTube videos?

Yes. Press and hold the left mouse button and drag a box around a chart, a table or any part of the screen, or press Alt+Shift+R, and Lens reads what is inside it. On a paused YouTube video it uses the frame and the captions around that moment to explain what was being said.

Do I need a Vestmind account to use Lens?

No. Lens has no login and explains what you select without an account. An account is needed only for See implications on my portfolio, which opens VestMonitor on vestmind.in to show how the event relates to your own holdings.

What does Lens send to Vestmind?

Nothing until you ask. When you invoke Lens it sends the text you selected, the paragraph and headings around it, the page title and address and, for a chart or a video frame, a cropped screenshot of that region. The screenshot is never stored, and Lens never reads your browsing history.

How is Lens different from asking an AI chatbot?

A chatbot sees only what you paste into it. Lens reads the paragraph, headings and chart around your selection, works every calculation in code from the numbers on the page and labels where each input came from, draws the explanation on the page itself, and can show what the event means for your portfolio.

Is Vestmind Lens investment advice?

No. Lens explains what you are reading; it does not recommend buying or selling anything. Vestmind is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst, and every investment decision stays with you.

Vestmind is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst. Vestmind Lens explains; nothing it shows is personalised investment advice.
